Well you will see Japanese talking on the phone and loudly, usually middle aged Japanese...even though they aren"t supposed to.The other thing is Japanese think blowing your nose with a handerchief is disgusting yet they sneeze into their hands and rubs the snot wherever or pick their nose in public...so really weird to see, this is disgusting. By the way I have lived here in Japan for 32 years.
To my ears "vashi" sounds more like "vash"
What an interesting thing for us to be able to experience with you! Here in America, when we test drive cars, dealers just ask for your driver’s license, and they give you the keys. They no longer have you fill out forms or even ride in the car with you! The first time I experienced this, I was so shocked.
This is a really good way to see how the Japanese words are used in real life. Thanks so much 🙏

I have driven Subaru Foresters for many decades now and even survived a high speed (> 112 km/h) accident in one. I continue to be a loyal customer because of their reliability and easy home repair. I would consider buying a Honda because I imagine they are of similar quality but Subaru got to me first.😉
Great video! I really appreciate the examples and listening practice🙏

1:40 かわいいすぎ! But why is the top part of the sign written in English?

I ignore pitch accent, not worried about it. I will just allow myself to sound stupid. I don't care.
Mizu
When I watched this then started to crying into my pillow
You're right. Even in English, it is a certain pitch used on words so you know what it is being used for.
From what I understand, I know that で indicates that the word before it is a participant/instrument in the action, while に indicates that the word preceding it is the _target_ of the action.

I find it very difficult to pronounce Katakana words . Sometimes the vocal is notheard by me . I don‘ t Know whether there is a rule
I'm sick of Irodori book using unnatural grammar, even my teacher said "its completely fine" I don't want to sounded like robotic grammar
I don't think Irodori's conversations are that unnatural. Could you give me specific one that you feel unnatural?
@@SpeakJapaneseNaturally Irodori teaches you to say どうぞよろしくwhich incorrect and the more natural one is just よろしく or よろしくお願いします

It seems like you are practicing your pitch and pronunciation in English, as well. This is quite impressive. I believe you are also studying a third language? I've got a long way to go just to follow along with your great videos 😅 Thanks for all your work!
Your voice is very relaxing. I enjoy listening to you. It’s always a pleasure to watch your videos
I’m glad to hear that. Thank you 😊
If you feel like using a proper accent is becoming the difference between you learning the language and giving up, you're putting too much emphasis on it. You're aware of pitch accent now. Move on, keep trying to speak, read, write, understand, and eventually you'll get a decent pitch accent, too. If you never learn to sound indistinguishable from a native, who cares, as long as you're being understood.
Dear Fumi sensei, I am a tea lover and a bit connoisseur. What should I say to make clear that I wish to have a real tea (possibly not in teabags)? By the way: the first (and only) 2024 flush of ゆたかみどり is now available and this year it is wonderful!
You can say you want to drink ryokucha, which means green tea.😊 And thank you for the information about ゆたかみどり!

Pitch accent is there for a reason. It is difficult to understand at first but a valuable tool later down the line.
Subscribed yesterday. I use your videoes to learn Japanese while listening to you. I try to recogize any words I've learned through Duolingo since November. It's really satisfying every time you say words and frases I know. I really appreciate your videoes. Thanks alot from Norway.
Welcome to my channel! I’m glad you found my videos useful. BTW, do you use subtitles? If so, do you show it in Norwegian? Coincidentally I was just talking with my husband whether someone use Norwegian subtitles or not😁
@@SpeakJapaneseNaturally Thank you. I use the English subtitles, as I didn't know there was Norwegian subtitles. I love hiking, and I've been to Japan (June 2018) once. Among other places, we visited Nagono, and went hiking to a few areas. This video brought me back to those days, both with the vegetations and birdcalls (I'm a hobby-birder). One morning I visited Togakushi National Park, which was my favorite memory of the trip.

Nice new video, Fumi-sensei! This will make me wanna buy a car! 😂😂😂 0:03 WR-V huh? We don't have this model here, instead we have the Honda BR-V, a Southeast Asian market model. 😊 7:43 INSANELY BIG SPACE for a Kei van. 😂 12:06 Toyota HACHI ROKU!!!!!! 😮😮😮🎉🎉🎉 12:45 The car behind Hosaka-san is a CIVIC! (not a Type R though)
I was sure you’d enjoy this video!! I was also sure that you’d point out Hachiroku because Hosaka-san told me that’s a very famous car so I asked him to film it well😂😂
Thank you for real world examples with interesting scenery.
Actually, that’s all thanks to Hosaka-san😊
